2014年7月8日,第三届同济大学国际交通安全与可持续学术研讨会在同济大学交通运输工程学院举行。会议由同济大学和海外华人交通协会(Chinese Overseas Transportation Association, COTA)共同主办。本次会议邀请了来自海外多所知名高校、研究和政府机构的12位学者参加发言,发言专家包括美国工程院院士、美国ASCE主席、国际知名学术期刊主编等多位知名专家。

本次研讨会同时邀请了来自东南大学、浙江大学、北京宣爱智能模拟技术股份有限公司、上海市公安局交通警察总队、ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers)、ASU(Arizona State University)、VOLVO Group、BMW Group等国内外知名高校、企业和机构的专家学者,围绕交通安全和可持续主题进行了丰富的交流和讨论。
研讨会分为三个环节。Michael Walton教授、方守恩教授、Mohamed Abdel-Aty教授等8为学者首先针对交通安全的主题做了深刻的会议发言,引起了广泛讨论。期间,学生们就33张TRB会议海报(均来源于同济大学学生被TRB录用的投稿)与各位专家学者进行了当面交流,受益颇丰。此外,主办方组织与会的国内外专家学者参观了同济大学道路与交通工程教育部重点实验室。最后,杨晓光教授、Michael Bell教授、Pitu Mirchandani教授等8位学者做了关于可持续主题的会议发言。

为期一天的会议为深入探讨交通安全和可持续提供了一个国际交流平台。
